The Who at Kilburn: 1977 is a film of two live performances by British rock band the Who released as a two-disc DVD set on 17 November 2008 by Image Entertainment. The first disc included the band's performance at the Gaumont State Cinema on 15 December 1977, while the second disc featured the band's performance at the London Coliseum on 14 December 1969. The film restoration was produced by Nigel Sinclair's Spitfire Pictures in association with Trinifold Management. The Kilburn gig was supposed to be filmed for inclusion in The Kids Are Alright film, but the band were so ashamed of the show that they threw it in the vault for decades. They even played a bit of the Who Are You album title song in a somewhat improvised form as I mentioned above, they were recording the Who Are You album then until mid 1978. Состоит из двух концертов: 15 декабря 1977 года в Gaumont State Theatre, Килбёрн, Лондон, а также 14 декабря 1969 года в London Coliseum, Центральный Лондон. Концерт в Килбёрне записывался специально для документального фильма The Kids are Alright , это было первое выступление The Who после годичного перерыва. The resulting document, The Who at Kilburn: 1977 benefits from the extensive technical set up high-quality film, multiple camera angles, careful audio recording, etc but also reveals a band a little rusty after nearly a year off from touring. Overall, it provides a fascinating look at the Who at that particular moment, despite the uneveness of the band's performance. Excellent dvd of the Who in 1977 plus a bonus one of them at the Colisseum 1969. The latter not so good quality but equally good. Good value. On December 15, 1977, The Who performed before a select invited audience at the Gaumont State Theatre in Kilburn, North London, to record a concert for Jeff Stein's film, The Kids Are.
