Music from The Elder is the ninth studio album released by American rock band Kiss on the Casablanca Records label in 1981. The album marked a substantial departure from their previous output with its concept and orchestral elements. Due to poor sales, Kiss did not embark on a supporting tour for the first time in its eight-year history, opting instead to make a handful of promotional appearances. Music from The Elder was the first album with drummer Eric Carr and the last album to feature Ace. Kiss - Music From The Elder 1981. Kiss - Music From The Elder 1981 - Escape From The Island - Продолжительность: 2:53 Allen Plum 2 175. A World from The Elder is the 9th studio album released by the American band Kiss. It was an attempt on the part of the group to establish Kiss as credible artists, and also to reverse the trend of declining album sales and commercial popularity that had begun in 1979. Instead, the album further served to alienate the group's fan base and represents the lowest point commercially for the group. Kiss started recording Music From the Elder in March 1981, working in Toronto, New York City and guitarist Ace Frehley s home studio in Wilton, Conn. To prevent anyone from hearing what they were up to, Ezrin and the band worked in total isolation. Because of the need for numerous sessions with outside performers KISS didnt finish the album until September. Then, the band proudly presented it to Casablanca Records, and was allegedly greeted with complete bewilderment. Music from The Elder. The result was a dull mix of mediocre prog-rock that bears little resemblance to the quartet that gave us such iconic albums as Destroyer and Love Gun. Sorry, guys - if I want prog, I'll go for the real thing, like Nektar. Music from The Elder was a rock opera that went wrong in just about every way possible. The record company didnt like it, and changed the song order to emphasize potential singles, which meant the story was all out of order. The band didnt even have a proper tour to support the album, only making a couple of TV appearances. In the October 1993 issue of Goldmine Magazine, Gene and Paul rated their work. Gene said, As a KISS album I give it a zero. As a bad Genesis album, I give it a two. Paul Stanley gave it a question mark. Ace Frehley said he threw a tape of the album against the wall a. Geny
I was astonished to read that unnumbered 12" picture discs of Kiss (Netherlands only / 13 different 12" Picture Discs) are counterfeits and the numbered ones are the real stuff. To my knowledge this is a fairytale. Some time ago I visited the widow of the owner of the company who manufactured the picture discs for Phonogram. She showed us a small stock of some leftovers and some items were numbered and others were not. The only logical conclusion for me is that the unnumbered ones can not be counterfeits, since they were manufactured in the same run and at the same moment in the same factory as the numbered ones. Maybe the unnumbered ones are even more rare than the numbered ones(?), because that run was up to 1500. The unnumbered ones were probably left-overs. The machine kept going and did not stop right after 1500 (or before # 0001) , so probably less unnumbered ones.

There is no solid evidence to prove ? Well to my knowledge my statement I made should be enough prove. That the unnumbered are cheaper then the unnumbered is true and logical. It's a common knowledge that you THINK the unnumbered are counterfeits, since the statement on discogs tells this since a long time. I now come with a different outcome, and you still try to tell that those unnumbered are counterfeits? Incredible!! Why are you keeping up with this fairytale? --Because you like those to be counterfeits. Well again, read my statement again. The unnumbered ones are as original as the numbered ones. Same pressings, same factory, same supplier, same date of manufacturing, same mother, same father.
