It released Excerpts From Beyond The Biosphere track listing: Cold Fingers, The Filth of It All and I'm Over and I Know It in early 1999. The 1,000-strong pressing sold out immediately, and the band also came over to the UK to play some concerts. Significant media attention followed and the band signed a recording contract with Warner Music, and Beyond The Biosphere was formally released on the major label in July 1999, and followed by Maroon on Atlantic Records in 2000. The Webb Brothers commenced work on a new album in January 2010 which was put on hold while Christiaan completed work on his first solo album, A Man Possessed. The Webb Brothers' first offering is instantly accessible through its poprock edge, yet, by being a multi-genre album, never loses its appeal. The Super Furry Animals-esque title track Beyond the Biosphere sets the LP rolling. The melodic verse leads into the Brian Eno style anthemic chorus, and makes for one of the catchiest songs on the 11-track album.
