Eternal A remastered version of Biospheres debut album Microgravity on triple vinyl and double CD with a bonus album of unreleased is the debut studio album by Norwegian electronic musician Geir Jenssen under the stage name Biosphere, released in 1991. The album was at first rejected by SSR, the subsidiary of Nettwerk with whom Jenssen had previously released his music, as unmarketable. The small Norwegian label Origo Sound picked it up, and the record scored on the club circuit in 1991. At the end of 2014, Geir Jenssen launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to re-release the album on vinyl. Jenssen's fascination with science-fiction in general specifically, space powers his debut album for the R&S wing, Apollo. Welding eerie samples to house rhythms, Microgravity has a sinister quality that's refreshing compared to much ambient-house of the early '90s. Back when Biosphere's MICROGRAVITY was originally released, it was groundbreaking: a mix of techno and ambient, with a dark tinge to it. Twenty years later, it still holds up pretty well, even if some of the samples feel dated. Geir Jenssen's debut album under his critically acclaimed Biosphere alias has managed to always strike a different chord when it comes to ambient. Whilst the later works of Substrata and afterwards have managed to utilize a more minimalist, ambient schematic, Microgravity has managed to be relatively upbeat and submersed in darkness
