If it weren't the exquisite taste and playing by the Campbell Brothers, this could all too easily fall into the trap of being close to a lounge Christmas album. This Christmas Album is undoubtedly one of the finest Christmas albums ever. The songs are beautifully chosen and well-arranged, and if this music doesn't get you off your feet and clapping, I'm not sure what will. I recommend buying a dozen copies of this album and using them for holiday gifts when you're just not sure what to give. Instead of bringing a bottle of wine to a party, bring this. The four Campbell brothers-Chuck pedal steel, Darick lap steel, Phillip guitar, and Carlton drums-present their unique interpretation of seasonal sacred and secular Christmas music.
