Album

Released March 22, 1963. The explosive sound of Please Please Me, with its frequent yelps and handclaps, as well as the unusual selection of American songs they chose to cover on the album, emulates the energy of their early R&B and rock 'n' roll influences. Recorded largely in a single day and released by Parlophone on 22nd March 1963, Please Please Me was the first of the twelve official UK album releases by The Beatles. Read more. Please Please Me - The Beatles. Customer Review: Please Please Me album by the Beatles. MARIVIC PERDON. It was recorded in a rushed fashion after debut single Love Me Do had reached a high of 17 on the UK chart the previous October. Ten of the album's fourteen tracks were recorded in just one day - 11th February, 1963. Some songs were fully captured in a single live take, and the album features very few overdubs. These included a mixture of stage favourites and Lennon-McCartney originals. The sound is terrable for being made from the same sourse as the Compact Disc. Side one No. Listen album. The download I received after buying the album is better by far. The Beatles - Please Please Me 1963. The album topped Record Retailer's LP chart for 30 weeks, an unprecedented achievement for a pop album at that time. The vinyl itsself, is 180 gram spins flat no warp and has the 1963 Parlophone lable that is, to me, really cool. At the time it was unusual for a group to write their own material The Beatles, however, swiftly revealed to listeners that they were anything but a run-of-the mill band. 1 in the majority of UK charts. Just to clarify - there were two types for this pressing that began April 1963 and ran through the summer of 1963:

a) With small 33⅓ at 9 o'clock
b) Without small 33⅓ at 9 o'clock

And for both types:
- New label style – bold name PARLOPHONE across the tops printed in bright yellow.
- The remaining surface was no longer printed using gold ink, but is now in silver ink.
- The statement "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" was not yet added to the labels.

The main fact here is that "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" has not yet been added. If it is missing, it's a 3rd press. If it is there, it is a 4th press or later.

For type B, without small 33⅓ at 9 o'clock, you need to look here:

Hope this helps some people out there, as I was a bit confused to begin with! :)

There is another version identical to this but with no small 33⅓ at 9 o'clock on the labels. This is covered in 'http://thebeatles-collection.com" for 'Please Please Me'

Grillador
The pics of the labels in this listing don't have the "33 / third" at 9 o'clock!
Misleading.
