We all need to have something that we can't compromise on. While this is not to the same standard as her previous release, my stereo brings Soley into my living room and what a beautiful voice this lady has. Contemporary Singer Summer is Sóleys third solo album, and a stylistic return to brighter tones after the particularly dark Ask the Deep from 2015. In Sóleys own words: The idea for the album came pretty randomly one night in beginning of January 2016 when I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote a note to myself: Write about hope and spring. So I painted my studio in yellow and purple, bought a grand piano, sat down and started playing, singing and writing.
