Album

Inni Icelandic pronunciation: , Within is a live motion picture and album by Icelandic band Sigur Rós released in 2011. The concert footage was directed by Vincent Morisset and filmed at the Alexandra Palace in 2008. It was released on 7 November 2011 on various formats, including vinyl, DVD, Blu-ray and CD. Theatrical versions were shown around the world in late 2011. is the third full-length album from Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós, first released in October 2002. It comprises eight untitled tracks, divided into two parts: the first four tracks are lighter and more optimistic, while the latter four are bleaker and more melancholic. The two halves are divided by a 36-second silence, and the album opens and closes with a click of distortion. Lead singer Jón Þór Birgisson Jónsi sang the album's lyrics entirely in Hopelandic, a made-up language. Inni by Sigur Rós, released 07 November 2011 1. Svefn-g-englar 2. Glósóli 3. Ný batterí 4. Lúppulagið 'inni' is either the first-ever sigur rós live album, or second live film and follow up. Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík, active since 1994. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi's falsetto vocals, and the use of bowed guitar, the band's music incorporates classical and minimal aesthetic elements. They have been nominated for and received various awards throughout the years. Jón Þór Jónsi Birgisson guitar and vocals, Georg Hólm bass and Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson drums formed the group in Reykjavík in January 1994. The band's name means Victory Rose. When Sigur Rós played the last shows of their 2008 tour, they brought in a filmmaker, Vincent Morisset, to document the shows and also decided to record them as well. A decision that proved wise as the bands future was thrown into doubt after the sessions for the next album were started, then shelved, and the band went on hiatus. Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós melds its sonic landscape with visuals in this concert filmdocumentary. Title: Sigur Rós: Inni 2011.
