Album

is the third full-length album from Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós, first released in October 2002. It comprises eight untitled tracks, divided into two parts: the first four tracks are lighter and more optimistic, while the latter four are bleaker and more melancholic. The two halves are divided by a 36-second silence, and the album opens and closes with a click of distortion. Lead singer Jón Þór Birgisson Jónsi sang the album's lyrics entirely in Hopelandic, a made-up language. Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík, active since 1994. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi's falsetto vocals, and the use of bowed guitar, the band's music incorporates classical and minimal aesthetic elements. They have been nominated for and received various awards throughout the years. Jón Þór Jónsi Birgisson guitar and vocals, Georg Hólm bass and Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson drums formed the group in Reykjavík in January 1994. The band's name means Victory Rose. This is the CD version of Heysátan, last song from the album discography of Sigur Rós, an Icelandic post-rock group, consists of seven studio albums, three remix album, five extended plays, one soundtrack album, sixteen singles, twenty-three music videos and two video albums. Shaktizragore
I have both version and this one is full of surface noise. Damned

Darkraven
Mine sounds really good. No surface noise at all .

cyrexoff
the original pressing is not a 180 gram right? .

Lightbinder
I bought this new in 2002/2003 and have always been disappointed in the quality of the vinyl. My copy has so much noise on it. I've tried every cleaning method and have not been able to get it to sound reasonable. I listen to the CD and keep this on the shelf.

Malarad
Mmm, I bought it when it came out, the vinyl is pretty noisy. Shame really

Steel_Blade
I dont have a origional to compare but i know the that the DMM is quite lifeless the 2015 repress is far better than both this and Ágætis byrjun DMM masters from the same period.

Risa
DMM can't be good, i say it how a person who work with vinyl for a long time. But maybe first vinyl press not so great.

Malalanim
Really good quality vinyl.

Uris
Does anyone have both this and DMM release? I wonder how they compare in term of sound quality

Negal
Really? My first pressing has a lot of surface noise. That seems to be the consensus everywhere..

Felhann
In this case, there's nothing better than the real thing. The first press! Sounds amazing, really!!
