Trust Us is the seventh full-length studio album by the Norwegian rock-band Motorpsycho. The tracks Ozone and Hey, Jane were also released as EPs. In 1999, The song Vortex surfer was selected by the NRK P3 radio-station as the song of the millennium, and was played continuously for 24 hours on December 31. The cover-art was, as usual, made by Kim Hiorthøy, who also directed the promo-videos for the two EPs. Disc 1: Psychonaut 6:58 Sæther. Ozone 4:33 Sæther. Album 1998 14 Songs. More By Motorpsycho. So prolific and varied is the output of Norwegian power trio Motorpsycho that it can be hard to know where to jump in when browsing through their considerable discography. Their material has run the gamut from grungy indie and heavy psychedelia right the way through to symphonic jazz. This album, their 7th, sonically straddles the whole range of their previous output up to its release and is chock full of gutsy hooks, churning psychedelic rhythms and shimmering space rock all delivered with a brash confidence and joyful exuberance. With 2CDs spawning 81 minutes, Trust Us is definitely the ultimate Motorpsycho album from their early period. There's nothing I'd label filler, making this is a remarkably consistent album from these Norwegians. As with all Motorpsycho albums, Trust Us covers an extensive range of styles, with influences from Sonic Youth's alternative rock, Sabbath's heaviness, Beatles' psychedelic pop, and, certainly on the longer tracks of this album, an oriental flavor that reminds of Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffity.
