Album

Know Your Enemy is the sixth studio album by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. It was released on 19 March 2001 by record label Virgin. It was supported by four singles two of them, So Why So Sad and Found That Soul, were released on the same day for promotional purposes. Know Your Enemy was a commercial success, albeit not as successful as its predecessor This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours. Critics were somewhat divided in their opinions, but its reception has been mostly positive. Manic Street Preachers are a Welsh rock band formed in Blackwood in 1986. The band consists of cousins James Dean Bradfield lead vocals, lead guitar and Sean Moore drums, percussion, soundscapes, plus Nicky Wire bass guitar, lyrics. They are often colloquially known as the Manics. They form a key part of the 1990s Cool Cymru movement. Following the release of their debut single Suicide Alley, the band was joined by Richey Edwards as co-lyricist and rhythm guitarist. The band's early albums. Here Dan Martin runs through the Manic Street Preachers discography in his order of preference, starting with his top album The Holy Bible. The Holy Bible It couldnt really be anything else. The monolith that towers not only over the rest of the bands glittering career, but actually towers just as forbiddlingly over most of rocknroll. Generation Terrorists Famously, their debut was supposed to sell more copies than Appetite For Destruction, then the band were suppose to give up. And Generation Terrorists is gloriously audacious from start to finish. It might. Lipstick traces a secret history of manic street preachers 2003. FOREVER DELAYED 2002. Know your enemy 2001. This is my truth tell me yours 1998. Listen to music from Manic Street Preachers like If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next, Motorcycle Emptiness & more. They were always known for their agit-prop and political posturing, which sometimes enhanced their music, sometimes distracted from it, sometimes saved it. But, as their star began to rise and Nicky Wire became the group's chief writer, they lost some of their bile and bite - just as their music turned into lush arena rock.
