The band employed Mike Hedges to produce several of the tracks, with longtime associate Dave Eringa producing others, and James Dean Bradfield, who co-wrote the music alongside drummer Sean Moore, put a much greater focus on finding new production techniques with more dense and intricate arrangements. Release Date. 25 August 1998. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours is the fifth album by Welsh band Manic Street Preachers. It was released in September 1998 on Epic Records, and in the United States the following year, on Virgin Records. The title is a quotation taken from a speech given by Welsh British Labour Party politician Aneurin Bevan. Its working title was simply 'Manic Street Preachers'. If Everything Must Go found Manic Street Preachers coping with Richey James' sudden, unexplained disappearance, its follow-up, This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, finds them putting the tragedy behind them and flourishing as a trio. Wisely, the group builds on the grand sound of Everything Must Go, creating a strangely effective fusion of string-drenched, sweeping arena rock and impassioned, brutally honest punk. Bought this without checking for feedback on the pressing and I got lucky. Sounds absolutely sublime! Very very happy as this album introduced me to the band and it's the one I'm most familiar with.

A superb pressing, from every aspect! Such a beauty, indeed!

A great pressing of what (I think is) the best Manics album and the one I played the most back in the day.

My copy has some distortion and sibilance on tracks A6 and B5 (the penultimate track on each side). Other than that, this is an absolutely beautiful pressing, as I've come to expect from Music On Vinyl. There's a lot of subtlety in some of the arrangements on this record, and listening to this copy, I noticed some things for the first time, 18 years after first hearing the album.

Those could be attributed to your 'arm-cartridge synergy and tracking and tracing issues of the cartridge, mind that side A spans 33 minutes and 40 seconds and side B a little less than 30 minutes, too much music crammed on its side, too tight the grooves, thus they make for a challenging ride for the cartridge, given that you heard what you did in the most inner grooves (y)
