More song-oriented than her other vanguard dates, We Could Be Flying still showcases the singer in a restless, searching frame of creativity. Obviously influenced by the work Flora Purim had done with Return to Forever and the heyday of jazz-rock fusion, Krog nonetheless puts her indelible stylistic stamp on all the material here. Karin Krog's own label Meantime Records has given us many rare and legendary recordings. Now it presents this much welcomed reissue on vinyl of 'We Could Be Flying', from the original master. First issued on Polydor in 1974, Karin performs alongside a musical dream team, consisting of Jon Christensen on drums, Steve Kuhn on electric and acoustic piano and Steve Swallow bass guitar. The quality of the music is exceptional with the Michel Columbier and Paul Williams' title song headlining the album. Joni Mitchells All I Want and two great Steve Kuhn originals &quo. Karin Krog, Steve Kuhn, Steve Swallow, Jon Christensen : We Could Be Flying CD. 1, rub. rub p&p. A beautiful album. The sound of Karin Krog's voice is amazing, along with the brilliant keyboard talents of Steve worth a listen. Previous image. Karin Krog, Steve Kuhn, Steve Sw. Karin Krog, Steve. Can anybody comment on the quality of this pressing? Thanks!

Did you pick this up? Supposedly "cut form original master", whatever that means. As much as I love Karin Krog's work I can't really get behind this pressing. A flat congested soundstage with an overabundance of treble; it's not that great. The CD is somewhat better but it's no audiophile marvel either. You'll have to shell out the $$$ for an original if you want that vinyl magic.

As Meantime is Karin's own label, I guess it's as good as it gets! Thick wax (probably 180g), great sound! Some low hum in the mute sections, but barely noteable.
