Along with George Benson, John Klemmer, David Sanborn, Bob James, Chuck Mangione, Dave Grusin, Herb Alpert, and Spyro Gyra, he is considered by many to be one of the founders of the smooth jazz genre. Being a huge fan of the late Grover Washington, I have purchased most of his music. Though this album is not the best that Grover has offered, it does rate among the top of his performances.
