Electronic Final Cut subtitle: A Requiem for the Post War Dream by Roger Waters is the twelfth studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 21 March 1983 in the United Kingdom and on 2 April in the United States through Harvest and Columbia Records. The sounds on Deep Into the Cut do retain a substantial amount of harsh aggression, with Mills and Srock favoring rude, dark sounds - a style of heavy metal without guitars but rather malicious machines and a sense of nihilism. His collaboration with Anthony Srock bore a few EPs and one album, Deep Into The Cut. First issued on Srock's Full Effect Records, that LP would be the first-and last-merging of Mills' raw, agitated techno with Srock's industrial tendencies. It was significant in its time, but the unprecedented success of Take Me Away-Final Cut's major label club hit that just about everyone will have heard-shunted the album into the shadows. For almost 30 years, this nugget of Detroit history has been collecting. Deep Into The Cut, which arrived the following year, further aligns itself with two more American scenes in bloom: techno, which had been given life in Detroit by some of Mills' closest cohorts, and the kind of brash, rock-informed industrial peddled by Chicago's Wax Trax label.
