I don't think "I Just Can't Stop This Feeling" was ever released on Gordy. It was discovered on old mixed-artist studio tapes in the 80s (there was no artist named on the tape). Shortly after, somebody added the piano (the tape was damaged) and decided (guessed) it was The Contours (although with no real evidence).The song was registered with the US Copyright Office on 17 April 1969 as written by William Weatherspoon, James Dean and Marilyn McLeod (all Motown songwriters). The Contours disbanded in 1968, and didn't reform until 1970). The guess is that this is a Weatherspoon singer/songwriter demo.
