The album was originally supposed to follow 1977's Fingerprince however, due to many delays and arguments with management, it was not released until 1979. Upon release it was hailed as the group's best record to date. The pieces on Eskimo feature home-made instruments and chanting against backdrops of wind-like synthesizer noise and miscellaneous sound effects. The work is programmatic, each piece pairing music with text detailing a corresponding pseudo. Electro and Tech House mixes of the Red Triangle track from the Eskimo Twins EP on Street Beats, the Streetlife DJs brand new label. The second track Insidious will follow next week. Stewart and Louis are two of the finest exports from the UK DJ scene with their excellent Street Life DJs concepy so its great to see them stretching out their empire into a label releasing music they believe in and giving new young artists the platform to develop from too.
