It is amazing what winning a remix competition can do to one's recognition. While most people who win such contests only have 15 minutes of fame, in the case of Seven Lions it has made him one of the most in-demand DJs and remixers; and it is no wonder why by listening to this song. This remix of Above & Beyond's You Got To Go is an excellent fusion of progressive dance elements with a dubstep structure, hence setting an example of what I will call progressive dubstep (I know the purists on this site will rage at me for even calling this song dubstep, but whatever). When I originally thought of progressive dubstep, my vision was that most compositions would simply have atmospheric intros and outros with stale hard bass mid-sections; but Seven Lions proves me wrong by synchronizing the progressive melodies with the dubstep bass in a manner that actually works. I of course have not listened to the other entries in the competition, but rest assured I would have to agree fully with A&B's decision to making Seven Lions' remix the winner.
