High Priority is the second album by American singer Cherrelle. Released on October 20, 1985, it reached 9 on the Top R&BHip-Hop albums chart and 36 on the Billboard 200. It generated Cherrelle's biggest pop hit with her duet with Alexander O'Neal, Saturday Love which peaked at 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. After the success of her debut album, Fragile, Cherrelle returned to the studio to record her second album. She worked predominantly with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis again on this project. Cherrelle's light, wispy, occasionally whiny soprano proved quite popular with '80s urban audiences, especially women. Her second album included a monster single, Saturday Love, that was dominated by duet partner Alexander O'Neal, but marked the start of what became a profitable union. The song almost made it to the top, peaking at number two and turning the album into a smash. It also yielded a decent followup hit in Artificial Heart, which reached number 18.
