В хронологии американских изданий, подготавливаемых компанией Capitol Records, Revolver был одиннадцатой пластинкой группы, изданной в США 8 августа 1966 года. В американское издание не вошли песни Im Only Sleeping , And Your Bird Can Sing и Dr. Robert , уже выпущенные 20 июня 1966 года на альбоме Yesterday and Today. Revolver, The Beatles seventh UK long player, was released on 5 August 1966, and three days later in the United States. It ushered in an era in which the group became increasingly interested in exploring production techniques in the studio. The album was released just before The Beatles final US tour in August 1966. None of its songs, however, were performed live. The group considered many of the songs too complex and unsuitable for live performance, during a time in which they were often unable to even hear themselves play above the screams of audiences. Album 1966 15 Songs. Sometime in 1965, The Beatles' longtime producer George Martin quit his contract with EMI Records. Martin had been working at a flat rate, without royalties-in other words, he wouldve made what he made no matter how well the band did. Martin knew EMI wouldnt risk jeopardizing the bands streak, and in leaving, he essentially forced the company to pay him what he was worth. The Beatles Revolver was released on 5 August 1966. As the album turns 50,Greg Kot argues that it is the Fab Fours crowning achievement. Where Revolver began tells us a lot about where it ended up. When recording commenced in April 1966, The Beatles dived into the future with Tomorrow Never Knows. John Lennon conjured a sound in his head, and left it up to producer George Martin and a 20-year-old rookie engineer, Geoff Emerick, to figure out how to get it on tape. They succeeded spectacularly. Revolver does everything Sgt Pepper did, except it did it first and often better. Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей The Beatles
