Yesshows is the second live album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It was released in November 1980 on Atlantic Records as the final album before the group disbanded in early 1981. Their first live album in seven years, it is compiled of recordings from their 1976, 1977, and 1978 tours from dates in North America and Europe with its mixing supervised by bassist Chris Squire. The Yes Album is the third studio album by English progressive rock band Yes, released on 19 February 1971 by Atlantic Records. It was the band's first album to feature guitarist Steve Howe, who replaced Peter Banks in 1970, as well as their last to feature keyboardist Tony Kaye until 1983's 90125. The album was the first by the band not to feature any cover versions of songs. The band spent mid-1970 writing and rehearsing new material at a farmhouse at Romansleigh, Devon, and the new songs were. Yesshows is the second live album by British progressive rock group Yes. Released shortly after the appearance of Drama, Yesshows comprises live performances ranging from the summer of 1976 to the supporting tour for Tormato in 1978. The album's release was supervised by bassist Chris Squire. Like the group's previous live album, Yessongs, Yesshows begins with a recording of Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Unlike the Yessongs version, the band members may be heard playing in tandem with the Stravinsky track on this recording. 1971 2008 Remaster. Yes released 'Yesshows' in November 1980. Yesshows doesn't include any signature Yes songs: no And You and I, no Roundabout, no Close to the Edge. The band had already checked those boxes on Yessongs. The timing is curious it arrived three months after the band's 10th album, the divisive Drama , which featured a pair of controversial new recruits, the Buggles' Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes. The former, who had the impossible task of replacing the departed Jon Anderson , was reportedly booed at several shows during his first and only Yes tour. The album .
