Album

It was the unexpected event of the 2005 FIMAV festival: avant jazz legend Anthony Braxton joining noisy bad boys Wolf Eyes on-stage. But it did not come completely out of left field. A few months earlier at another festival, the 60-year-old saxophonist had attended a performance by the Michigan noise trio and was transformed, buying a copy of everything the band had to sell that night. The man had been hit in the face by noise music. Альбом 2006 Песен: 2. Solo Victoriaville 2017. Anthony Braxton. The Montreux, Berlin Concerts. 2017 Live. For Four Orchestras. Black Vomit. Wolf Eyes - The pulsing and progression of impossibly haunting sounds, musically crafted and structured to elongate the tension of hearing the raw sounds of metal against metal unatural sounds fed to the natural human ear. Anthony Braxton - Sophisticated, forward-thinking genius music the prodigious performance of all imaginable reed instruments combined with concept-filled, insanity-ridden pulses, squeals, and howls. Braxton fits in perfectly, adding an extra dimension to the noise that lifts Black Vomit from being just another Wolf Eyes live CD to an essential release. The first track, The Mangler, is actually a couple of different pieces in one. Starting as a slow and menacing soundscape where Braxton and John Olsen duel with their saxophones like two jungle cats. For the encore Braxton is asked whether hed prefer Leper War or Black Vomit to which he gleefully demands the latter, although the sleeve notes list it as Rationed Rot. From his tone of voice and indeed his playing it is obvious that he is having the time of his life. The noise may be unsettling but the vibes from the players are good
