I previously had the Hells Headbangers version, which sounded like it was mixed out of phase - it was practically unlistenable. The songs are great though, so I'm glad this one sounds so much better. The songs are great though, so I'm glad this one sounds so much better. It actually sounds pretty clean despite being mastered from vinyl. It's also more compressed than I'd like, but it's fine for metal. This is the one to get.

Although this was mastered from an LP as well (a clean Japanese pressing) it sounds so much better than the Hells Headbangers version it's not even funny. It's well done enough that most people would probably not be able to tell what the source is if they didn't read the liner notes. This is likely going to be the best CD version we're going to get under the circumstances.
