Album

Vladimir Ashkenazy returns to Bach four years after recording the complete Well-Tempered Clavier and two years after announcing his retirement from public piano performance. It's nice to say that although he doesn't feel secure enough to play in public, these partitas don't show any insecurities. There are minor inconsistencies in articulation, phrasing, and ornamentation. He is conscious of the need for a certain touch when playing Bach on a modern grand. In some spots - typically in the courantes and gigues - that extra light touch is combined with a shortness that may be to. Listen to Bach, J. The Six Partitas J. Bach: Partita No. 1 in B flat, BWV 825 - 1. Praeludium, J. 1 in B flat, BWV 825 - 2. Allemande and more. 43 tracks . Bach, J. The Six Partitas. Vladimir Ashkenazy. Decca Music Group Ltd. Классическая , 2010. Vladimir Ashkenazy -J. 1 in B flat, BWV 825 - 5. Menuet I. 1 in B flat, BWV 825 - 6. Menuet II. THESE six beautifully balanced and delicate works are, if nothing else, an excellent introduction to Bachs extensive compositions for keyboard. Ashkenazy displays a superb lightness of touch that is often quite moving. This is sweetly apparent in his poetic playing of the Sarabande from the Partita No 1 in B flat major. VERDICT 35. Album 2013 40 Songs. Владимир Ашкенази. Bach: Piano Concerto in D Minor, BWV1052, Chopin: Piano Concerto No. Владимир Ашкенази, David Zinman. The Classical Album 2015. Vladimir Ashkenazy's playing seems to improve with age. After recording the complete Well-tempered Clavier, he turns his attention to Bach's exquisite partitas. As with the two books of the WTC, Mr. Ashkenazy draws out a dimension of this seemingly formal and mathematical music, that is quite personal and dare I say: poetic. It might be apocryphal, but I prefer the Russian Version of Bach: whether it's Sviatoslav Richter, Tatiana Nikolayeva or Andrei Gavrilov, the 'romantic approach' wins me over everytime. It must be something in the wild unknown expanses of the lan. Vladimir Ashkenazy: Bach Partitas. Saturday July 17 2010, , The Times. Ashkenazys autumnal tour of core piano repertoire now reaches Bachs six Partitas. It was worth the wait, for he plays them with uncomplicated joy, content to let Bachs poetry and intellectual fibre speak for themselves. Articulation is crisp without ever being mannered, and the speedy dance numbers really dance. Release type: Album. Do you want to download this release Pay by your phone. Bitrate: 320.
