I have a question about this release. With my copy the first piece consists of an almost unbearably high pitched whine over ambient sounds. It's mastered very differently than the rest of the tape. I'm wondering if this is native to the release or if a previous owner taped over the first piece in a very odd manner. Can anyone help me out?

I was given a copy of this release a year or two ago. The j-card is professionally printed, but the cassette itself appears to be on branded stock, though handstamped and handwritten stickers have been overlaid. Was this usual for Touch releases or has someone copied up a tape separately?

yes - they often did it this way...
