"The video on this DVD is a selection from an archive of audio-visual material collected for a forthcoming film on music-making and environmental sound. The filming technique employed — one camera, one take — has produced footage that matches the music's focused spontaneity. As such, minor imperfections are perhaps to be expected. I have not edited such moments, as any cut away from the music-making tends to disrupt viewing. The sound is from a variety of sources, much of which is audiophile quality."
