This Album should have died of shame and indifference over it's lack of contents in 1983. At 68, I must be getting old I finally did buy it - and I sincerely regret having wasted my money on the pathetic mess. Not that this is the only case of a soundtrack that isn't really, but this is the most flagrant I've had the displeasure of finding - and, unfortunately, buying. After Big Night became a box-office hit, even people who hadn't seen the film were lining up to buy the soundtrack. As the ultimate Italian dinner classic, both the movie and the record are thoroughly enjoyable. Singles is the original soundtrack album to the film Singles, primarily focused on the ascendant Seattle grunge scene of the early 1990s. It also features contributions from Minneapolis's Paul Westerberg his first solo material after the breakup of The Replacements, Chicago's The Smashing Pumpkins, and past Seattle rockers Jimi Hendrix and The Lovemongers Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, the latter wife of the movie's director Cameron Crowe.
