The album is titled after Six Flags AstroWorld, a popular Houston amusement park. The park was demolished in 2005. Despite several developers staking claims to develop the large vacant lot into use, nothing has been done with the space since. In a 2017 interview with GQ, Travis lamented on the parks prominence in Houston and its impact on the album: Thats what its going to sound like, like taking an amusement park away from kids. We want it back. Stormi cant speak yet, presumably, but the sentiment still rings true for a record named after a closed amusement park in his native Houston.
