This album contains all my favorite Tommy Roe songs. It is a happy sing along record. Tommy Roe is one of my favorite performers. My daughter is into playing the older classic records instead of newer formats so I purchased this for her. She loves it. It is definitely going to college with her. This greatest hits album was styled in the same vein as Bobby Darin's The Bobby Darin Story 1961, with Darin piping in with descriptions of the songs prior to or after the musical track. In this case, Roe is interviewed, and the discussions are interesting and noteworthy. I didn't know Roe toured with the Beatles. Thomas David Tommy Roe born May 9, 1942 is an American singer-songwriter that had several chart topping songs in multiple countries during the 1960s including Sheila and Sweet Pea. He recorded 13 studio albums and 55 singles from 1960 to 1987. When Tommy Roe hit, his music packed a punch. Everybody sounded a lot like Buddy Holly. Hooray for Hazel was a favorite of mine during its release and still has a dated charm with its marching band brokenhearted melody. It's Now Winter's Day with its dreamy melody may be his best song as an artist.
