Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1993. The songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major-label recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996, which was later reported as the largest publishing deal ever for an unsigned artist. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997, with the band largely consisting of Jenkins lead vocals, rhythm guitar, Cadogan lead guitar, Arion Salazar bass guitar, and Brad Hargreaves. Hip-hop and power pop collide on the delirious Semi-Charmed Life, while elsewhere 3EB take detours through churning space rock Good for You, distorted fuzz pop London, and slinky psych funk I Want You. Third Eye Blind's lyrics perfectly capture the feeling of being at an emotional crossroads in life, and the anti-suicide message of Jumper still resonates deepl. Great sounding album, a bit confusing as to why each album came with two sleeves, anybody have any answers on this?????

Bulace
To me this release doesn't sound that bad. The bass can be harsh at times, but overall it sounds fine. It definitely doesn't sound tinny. If you want to own this album on vinyl, go ahead and buy a copy and enjoy the third disc of extras.

This has always been one of my favorite, never-skip-a-track albums, so I purchased without any hesitation. That said, I wish I'd waited. It sounds pretty bad. Sounds like a totally different album from what you remember, and not in a good "fresh new mix" way. It's thin and tinny to my ears.

Qucid
This pressing is shit. I received it from Amazon and it was beat to death. The vinyl is thin and warped and sounds like a cassette tape. Cheaply made and it shows. They should have made a tri-fold jacket, but nope. Let's shove two LPs into one side. Bad idea.

Oparae
Why does it come with a set of top-loading and side-loading sleeves with identical prints on them for LP1 and LP2?

Mozel
I was wondering if it was an accident in the copy I got. I guess not. Weird!

Reemiel
Ha! I wondered that about that too. Maybe just for preference?

Nten
For anyone that has already purchased it, how does this pressing sound?

Monam
To my ears it sounds awful. Not exaggerating it's among the worst-sounding records I own. Extremely thin, shrill, and tinny versus my old copy of the CD, which still sounds great twenty years later. Some here may disagree but I'd say only order if you find it at a steal. Maybe I don't know what to listen for since I've been playing the CD forever. Maybe my ears are corrupted, but I don't really dig this version of an otherwise excellent album.

Kerahuginn
This is a great sounding pressing with the original version of "Graduate", and NOT the terrible remix. I was pleasantly surprised by this. However, I think they skimped on the the jacket. For the price, it should be a tri-fold and included a download code.

Kulwes
I have given it a listen all the way through and it sounds great to me. Quite pressing

Moonshaper
I'm assuming this press also has the same terrible remix of "Graduate" with extra vocals and the first 1 second of the song truncated, just like the CD and digital versions. Making this version definitely the least desirable.

Quynaus
Nothing too glowing yet. No info on pressing plant, mastering source or engineer, etc. Doesn't sound like between OP, the band's reissue in 2013, the MOV and this, that there is a definitive press. http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/third-eye-blind-st-20th-anniversary-vinyl-review.677643/
