Thee Oh Sees. The Orchard Music от лица компании In The Red. Thee Oh Sees - Mutilator Defeated At Last is a studio album by the American garage rock band Thee Oh Sees, the fifth album released by the band under the name Thee Oh Sees and their eleventh overall. It was released on May 20, 2011, by In The Red Records. It was the first of two studio albums to be made by the band in 2011, the other being Carrion CrawlerThe Dream, which was released in November. It was recorded by a skeleton lineup of John Dwyer and Brigid Dawson along with some guest musicians. Альбом 2011 Песен: 16. Genre: Garage Rock. This is easily my new favorite Oh Sees record. It's a very folk-inspired throwback to the experimental music of the 60's, featuring the band's trademark brand of psychedelia and oddball stonerisms. While some people have bemoaned this sound, I personally love it. It may not be as noisy as an album like Floating Coffin which I still love, but it's totally unique within the band's discography and has some of their best songs. Tracks like Blood On The Deck maintain the bliss of 60's. read more. Listen free to Thee Oh Sees Castlemania I Need Seed, Corprophagist A Bath Perhaps and more. 16 tracks 41:54. However, while the average Oh Sees album is a heavy exercise in psychedelic murk, Castlemania sounds surprisingly light and pop-oriented, if only by this band's standards. Tunes like Pleasure Blimps, I Need a Seed, and Spider Cider recall classic mid-'60s pop tunes in their slightly bent melodicism, at least before John Dwyer and his bandmates start draping layers of atonal soloing and Mellotron figures over them. Castlemania, 2011. I Need Seed, 02:54. Corprophagist A Bath Perhaps, 02:13. Stinking Cloud, 03:11. Corrupted Coffin, 02:07. Pleasure Blimps, 02:42. Spider Cider, 00:58. Thee Oh Sees Castlemania. by Siobhán Kane. on June 27, 2011, 7:58am. Castlemania is a very pleasing testament to this, and is also a document to Dwyers overwhelming talent, since he plays most of the instruments on the record helped along here and there by Heidi Alexander and Brigid Dawson. Dwyer reaches heady heights on Stinking Cloud , with its use of toy instruments that begin to sound like a childrens choir, stomping synthesizers, and distorting vocals. I just bought a new sealed copy of this pressing at that major online retailer. It goes without saying that the music is awesome and In the Red is a great label. However, there are definitely some idiosyncrasies. As already noted, Sides A and B play at 33 1/3 despite the label on Side B saying "45 rpm", just like the photos above. Side C plays and says 45. Side D is an etching. Also, both my discs are significantly bowled, although they do play. A clamp helps. Finally, the Side B label is about to peel off. Maybe it wasn't stored properly in a warehouse for the last several years?

How many were misprinted? I just realized that mine is and i've been confused this entire time.

spacebreeze
mine spins at 33 1/3 rpm too with 45 rpm labels

Is your copy really playing at 33 1/3 rpm? Most are playing at 45 rpm, all three sides. So they made a 33 1/3 rpm version but used the 45 rpm labels? Or maybe it's not a misprint but rather a mispressing at the wrong speed?
