The World of Oz was an English psychedelic pop band who released a sole self-titled LP in 1968, before fading into relative obscurity, although CD re-issues of the album are now widely available to the public. The band formed in January 1968 and signed to Deram Records on 13 February 1968. Their song, The Muffin Man, was a minor hit in the UK and US and reached the Top 10 in a number of European countries, including the Netherlands and Belgium. Publicity for the single in the US was constrained. Psychedelic Rock Baroque pop. World Of Oz. Original Release on Deram Label UK 2006 Remastered Bonus Tracks: 13-20. The World of Oz LP was released on schedule and disappeared without creating a ripple on the charts, on either side of the Atlantic. The album cover was a very strange one - it featured visual representations of the last lineup of the group, which was understandable but also strange, as World of Oz. The sound quality is most impressive, however, and given the sheer rarity of the original LP, the chances of anyone having the latter already lying around to be heard are next to non-existent - so this CD ends up being essential listening for almost anyone fascinated by the commercial side of British psychedelia. Текст песни: We wear our hearts upon our sleeve Theres a part of my heart that youll never change. Theres a dream so alive, its an endless flame and you cant keep us down, 'cause well always come back , when Oz stands up the water only reaches his mid-thigh showing it is much too shallow for the basket to completely sink. Raimi and his team have given their audience a bright and colorful world of wonder in a much more 'wowing' Land of Oz than that of the original film, and possibly even one that's more visually attractive than any other film to date. A very fun and crafty Rachel Weisz takes the role of Evanora and grips the audience with charm and viciousness in all the right doses. The supporting cast also performs pretty well, sometimes capturing that original 'Wizard of Oz' magic. The Bad
