But Life Review, a two-disc, 34-track, 140-minute collection, does an adequate job. Compiled by Shadow Ring visionary Graham Lambkin, the album takes us through each period of the band's lifespan with grace and fluidity. Three distinct phases mark The Shadow Rings career, each seeming like a dramatic break from the last. Represented on Life Review by three tracks, the album is painted as rusty industrial English landscape with low bass lines, feedback, and cheap keyboard drones. The plodding rhythm guitar dirge on Nocturnal Middle Rumbles moves steadily above an underbelly of light, tumbling chord fragments. The Shadow Line is the sixth studio album by the industrial rock band Godhead, released on August 29, 2006. In 2005, frontman Jason C. Miller invited James O'Connor to return as the band's drummer, which he accepted. Following the completion of The Shadow Line, however, O'Connor left the group for a second time. Trapped In Your Lies was the album's lead single. It was followed by Push and Hey You. Trapped in Your Lies - 3:30. The life of the Shadow Ring finally came to pass on the banks of the Hudson River in 2003. Life Review offers a celebration of the Shadow Ring's oeuvre - from the green chaos of 1993's Don't Open The Window 7 on through to the austerity of 2003's I'm Some Songs LP. Featuring material from each of their albums: City Lights, Put The Music In Its Coffin, Wax-Work Echoes, Live In . Hold Onto I. Lighthouse, Lindus and I'm Some Songs, alongside 7 A and B sides, comp appearances, and a clutch of previously unreleased live and 'studio' work. Disc IDs 2. Additional details.
