The Power Station is the debut album by the supergroup The Power Station, released in 1985 on Capitol Records. The album peaked at no. 6 on the US Billboard 200 and no. 12 on the UK Albums Chart. All three singles released from the album were Top 40 hits in the United States. The Power Station were an EnglishAmerican rock 1980s & 1990s supergroup formed in New York City and London in 1984. Made up of singer Robert Palmer, former Chic drummer Tony Thompson, and Duran Duran members John Taylor bass and Andy Taylor guitar no relation. Bernard Edwards, also of Chic, was involved on the studio side as recording producer and for a short time also functioned as The Power Station's manager.
