I highly doubt that this originally came out in 1967, since the two titles it references are from after thatSwitched on Bolero, which it was also released as, is a reference to Switched on Bach from 1968 and the main Everything You Always Wanted To Hear on the Moog references Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were To Afraid. To Ask which originally was a book from 1969 and made into a film in 1972. Switched-On Bach, Wendy Carloss electronic interpretation of works originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, was released in October 1968. Up until that point, synthesizers had been used almost exclusively in under-the-radar experimental music. Carlos worked with Bob Moog throughout the albums recording process, testing instrument components and making suggestions for improvements that would shape the future of the Moog modular system design and sound. Upon its release, Switched-On Bach quickly gained the attention and respect of listeners around the globe. When Carlos released Switched on Bach, her first studio album, it was an immediate success, as Moog himself said. We witnessed the birth of a new genre of music -fully synthesized keyboard music, without any acoustic instruments involved whatsoever. A recording of Switched on Bach premiered at Carnegie Hall, Leonard Bernstein presented an arrangement of Bachs Little Fugue in G minor arranged for Moog , organ, and orchestra at one of his Young Peoples Concerts, and no less a Bach authority than Glenn Gould praised the album, noting that it had made electronic music mainstream even as it introduced entire new. audiences to Bach
