The Guess Who is a rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba that was one of the first Canadian groups to establish a major successful following both in their own country as well as abroad. In their late 60s and early 70s heyday, the guys took influence from late period British invasion bands as well as stuck alongside them on the charts. They were notably the first Canadian rock n roll group to have a 1 hit in the United States thanks to the success of 1970's American Woman. Songs in album The Guess Who - Road Food 1974. Road Food is the twelfth studio album by the Canadian rock band The Guess Who. It was originally released by RCA Records in 1974. It was the last album by the group to feature guitarists Kurt Winter and Donnie McDougall. In addition to the usual 2 channel stereo version the album was also released by RCA in a 4 channel quadraphonic version on both LP and 8-track tape. The quad LP version was released using the Quadradisc system. Road Food found the Guess Who taking a jazzy turn in a different direction from the guitar-soaked sound the group had mined to popularity for several years. Burton Cummings' piano was moved more to the front of the mix for this recording. Star Baby was the first single released from the album, and though it's catchy and sounds like a hit, it wasn't. However, the novelty tune Clap for the Wolfman, featuring Wolfman Jack himself, did hit the Top Ten, providing the band with its last visit there. The rest of the album is uneven, with some snazzy, jazzy tunes. 트랙 목록. 버전 18. The Guess Who - Road Food HF by 3:34. TOPPOP: Guess Who - Clap For The Wolfman 3:53. Guess Who-Clap For The Wolfman 4:02.
