In October 1990 musicians from all over the north came together in Consett to perform at The Decade Waltz Festival, organised by Making Music Work to mark the 10th anniversary of the closure of the steelworks. Many of them contributed work to this album and a band was formed to perform the material. The campaign will be promoted nationally by the band and album during 1991.
