Candyman is the second studio album by American rock musician Steve Lukather. It was a collaboration of musicians who were for the most part also in Lukather's band Los Lobotomys. Toto familiars Simon Phillips and David Paich participated as well as David Garfield, John Pêna, Chris Trujillo, Lenny Castro, Larry Klimas, Fee Waybill, Richard Page and Paul Rodgers. Lukather recorded the album in mostly live takes with little overdubbing. In one day, buxom madame Candy tutors new prostitute Nancy, motivates the rape of money hiding prostitute Sandy, trades a Mexican sex slave's virginity for freedom, suckles a client and lets her landlord please her so she'd avoid rent. Cobb, singer Rodney Justo, drummer Robert Nix and keyboard player Dean Daughtry. The band's chart singles included Georgia Pines 1967 and Ways 1968. They often performed as the backing band. The Candy Man or alternatively, The Candy Man Can is a song that originally appeared in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. It was written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley specifically for the film. Although the original book by Roald Dahl Charlie and the Chocolate Factory contains lyrics adapted for other songs in the film, the lyrics to The Candy Man do not appear in the book.
