The Beach Boys is the 25th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on June 10, 1985. Its also messy. The Beach Boys - Chapel Of Love. The Beach Boys - Susie Cincinnati. The contemporary production techniques and overly polished sound do nothing for these oldies, and effectively sap them of any energy they might once have had. At one point during the recordings, it was decided that a double album was to be released: one album of oldies and another of original material. The Beach Boys - Everyone's In Love With You. In the end, a compromise of both new originals and covers was decided. It comprises cover versions of rock and roll and rhythm and blues standards, along with a few new originals. The double album compilation of their early 60s work hit no 1 and stayed in the charts for damn near 3 years. With Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar having left the Beach Boys following their preceding album Holland 1973, 15 Big Ones was recorded at a time when the group was struggling with their creative direction. Produced by Steve Levine, the album is the band's first recording after the drowning death of founding member Dennis Wilson. The Beach Boys - Everyone's In Love With You.
