It was his first disco album in the series of three that were recorded and released by Fantasy Records in the late 1970s. The album was issued with the alternative title Over and Over in France. Two singles were issued from the album. The first single, a self-penned song called Down, Down, Down, charted at 18 in the Billboard Dance chart. Not a lot is known about Sylvester Cotton, who cut several sides in Detroit. December 28, 1948. Originally issued on the 1949 single Sensation 7000 & Modern. This recording taken from the 1969 album Detroit Blues : Sylvester Cotton. Album: Downtown Blues, 2013. I do not own the copyright to this recording. Most of his other numbers stayed buried in the vaults until they came out on various LP and CD compilations decades later, and there may be still a few in there that the blues public needs to hear. This recording taken from the 1969 album Detroit Blues United US-7783 LP
