I bought this versión and it have a failure, on Frankie teardrop the right channel have a 2 or 3 seconds of silence, just like if you pull out the RCA of the channel...

Hi, I think it sounds fine to my ears. If you cant afford an original in good condition, I think this reissue is a good option

g1mrg Hi, man. You know, I don't have an original to hand but I have a pretty good ear. You just know when the sound of something is great, and you just know when the sound of something fails to reach your soul. As an example, I recently got an original copy of Pere Ubu's 'Terminal Tower' ...wow! what sonic wonder! or , Listen to the 7'' of 'Invisible Sun' by the Police , wow! - I could cite many an example.,.. I always suspected this Suicide version to be a botched job. So much I am gonna get rid of it. Same with the 4MWB issue of the MOdern Lovers... or the Betty Davis' 'They Say I am ...' on Just Sunshine Records - they fail to reach. Music and sound are magical things. Once you screw up with the originals or cut corners the results amount to zero. you may as well be listening to a kebab on the floor. I feel so strongly about these things i feel those who shortchange (in music , in arts, in shops) should be jailed. DON'T GET THIS VERSION .... (i could be wrong,,,, but i feel there is something missing. ANd in music when there's something missing, as you know, everything is missing). Best regards, brother.

There has to be a reissue of this one. Just bought it in a Fnac store mint 9 Nov 2016.But all the codes and etchings are a match for this release.

As far as I know this was kept in print up until earlier this year before being deleted (around April or May) presumably to make way for the Superior Viaduct version. What you bought was likely just leftover stock.

I was first exposed to Suicide by John Peel's BBC Radio show in the UK in 1977. The way he introduced the track immediately grabbed my attention - "Now, I first played this track a few weeks ago, and I've since had a number of requests from listeners NEVER to play it again. So, for all of you, here are Suicide - and "Frankie Teardrop".. (Probably not his exact words, but close to them). What followed was ten minutes of gruesome, desperate anguish brought into stark life, even through a cheap mono transistor radio. Simply a milestone record in Rock history. People working with cobbled-together electronics and a sprit of independence, who somehow managed to translate raw emotion and imagery into the sound coming out of your speakers more powerfully than anyone before (or arguably since). This record makes movies in your head; escapist, voyeuristic, sleazy, right-on-the-edge ones in glorious widescreen super-high-def. Often described as "ahead of it's time", I'd simply call it timeless. Wait 'till dark, draw the curtains, turn out the lights and absorb it. It'll force you to inhabit extremely vivid worlds, some you might not be too comfortable with, some you might want to stay in forever. Warm and cosy this ain't. Beware. Danger lurks within...
