Five Weeks Ahead of My Time, Sugar Shack's third album, is lousy with pent-up potential and a blasé desperation that makes it all the more compelling. Recorded in Austin, TX, with the Lord High Fixers' Stefanie Paige Friedman adding bulk on drums, Five Weeks may be the loud and fast Houston quintet's most crisply delivered outing - which isn't saying all that much.
