Album

Episode is the fifth studio album by power metal band Stratovarius, released on 22 April 1996 through Noise Records. It is the first Stratovarius album to feature keyboardist Jens Johansson and drummer Jörg Michael, both of whom would form part of the band's most stable line-up for nine years. The album reached No. 21 on the Finnish albums chart and remained on that chart for six weeks. Timo Kotipelto lead vocals. It starts with keybord, a good riff that will remain the same the rest of the song. Then it goes on with a slow guitar solo, although its slow its not bad. It gives a good feeling to the song. I like Episode very much but because of its 2 minutes duration its not one of my favorites. Speed Of Light-65: Episode fades out to Speed of Light, the fastest song of the album. And I really mean fast. Its looks impossible to play on guitar. Although it lasts 3 minutes its an excellent song. The whole verse, the. So everything seems to be all right, except for the fact that Episode doesn't work so well as a whole. There are perfect hits like Father Time, Will the Sun Rise, and Speed of Light, but the rest of the material fails in comparison, as is isn't as catchy or well put together. But despite these small lacks, Episode is very enjoyable. Each member of Stratovarius is a virtuoso of his instrument, and ever since Fourth Dimension they've played very well together.
