Storm and stress refers to the period of adolescence in which is also known as the rebelious years. Learn about Storm and Stress from this article. First coined by G. Stanley Hall, the first president of the American Psychological Association, storm and stress refers to the period of adolescence in which teenagers are in conflict with their parents, are moody, and engage in risky behavior. Although not all teenagers go through the storm and stress stage, storm and stress is more likely to occur in a teenager than in a child or adult. Storm and Stress sounds exactly like that: a Texas-sized downpour gathering against a blackened sky or, rather, that jumble of raging inner turmoil that strains against our insides we call emotions. The band derive their name from the 19th century German artistic movement, Sturm und Drang, which acted as a revolution for those who felt creatively controlled by the imposed Enlightenment movement. The artists of this period stressed that the objectivity inherent in Enlightenment ideals of rationalism failed to fully express the complexities and extremes of human emotion. Released July 8, 1997. Anyone have an image of the back cover of this record? I'd love to see if the "poem" on the front cover continues :)

Pruster
Is this pressing actually from 1997? Is there more than one pressing?

Not sure why It wouldn't be? The back cover and gatefold indicates 1997. The mail order catalog that came with this copy is also for 1997.
