Better Than Heaven is the debut studio album by American singer Stacey Q, released on October 17, 1986 by Atlantic Records. Produced by Jon St. James, Better Than Heaven is predominantly a dance-pop album with elements of Hi-NRG, freestyle and new wave music. She collaborated with the same line-up of musicians with whom she had previously performed in the band SSQ. Formerly SSQ, this was the first album that the same lineup of musicians released under the name Stacey Q. The sexy monster hit Two of Hearts, synthesized and insistent, benefited greatly from Q's breathy, little-girl vocals, while We Connect, her only other venture into the Top 40 Music out of Bounds, which doesn't seem to mean a thing Love or Desire and Dancing Nowhere all followed.
