Nada Personal Spanish for Nothing Personal is the second album recorded by Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, and released in 1985. It was recorded at Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California and remastered in 2007 at Sterling Sound Studios in New York. Nada Personal provided the band with at least three successful singles, which became the breakout songs for the band all over Ibero-America. The album showed Soda Stereo in a new musical direction focused mainly on the British New Wave style. Soda Stereo. Nada Personal. Album 1984 10 Songs. Its undeniable that Soda Stereo internationalized rebellious Argentinean rock during the big-hair era, and 1985s Nada Personal, their second full-length, is nothing short of a New Wave alt-rock wonderland. Soaked in sensuous basslines, jangly guitar strums, and buoyant synth stabs, the opening title track introduces their cool, reluctant spirit. By the time Cuando Pase el Temblor -a pan flute-heavy smasher-plays, Gustavo Ceratis warm, lilting voice induces heavy swooning. And with Juegos de Seducción, their erotic electro-rock agenda becomes clearer than ever. How expertly the Soda Stereo triumvirate serves up such a concoction should not surprise listeners who are familiar with the versatility displayed by this Argentinean combo as it ruled its country's pop and rock scenes in the '80s and early '90s. The title track, which kicks things off, was a big hit and deserves to be, the chorus a funky hook with the staying power of a Hall & Oates track, plus rhythmic zest sprinkled on by bassist Zeta Bosio and drummer Charly Alberti.
