A historic dispute between the Merchant Taylors and Skinners livery companies is the probable origin of the phrase. The two trade associations, both founded in the same year 1327, argued over sixth place in the order of precedence. In 1484, after more than a century and a half of bickering, the Lord Mayor of London, Sir Robert Billesden, ruled that at the feast of Corpus Christi, the companies would swap. At Sixes And Sevens is Sirenia's debut album. This is the only album featuring the vocals of French singer Fabienne Gondamin. The girl on the cover is a Norwegian model, picked by the designer to represent a Siren. This album continues in the same vein as Tristania's Beyond the Veil. The biggest difference is the female singer. At Sixes and Sevens is the debut studio album by the Norwegian gothic metal band Sirenia.
