Bert Ernie Sesamstraat. Bert en Ernie zijn vanaf vrijdag on tour. Originated by Frank Oz and Jim Henson, the characters are currently performed by puppeteers Eric Jacobson and Peter Linz Oz performed Bert until 1997. Bert and Ernie were built by Don Sahlin from a simple design scribbled by Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets. Initially, Henson performed Bert and Oz performed Ernie, but after just one day of rehearsal. The first record album soundtrack for Sesamstraat, the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street, featured translated songs from Sesame Street. The orchestrations are different from the original songs. The songs are introduced by sketches which are referred to as background music tracks on the track listing the music plays during the sketches. The sketches are written by Ton Hasebos, the original Sesamstraat head writerproducer. Sesamstraat Dutch pronunciation: is a Dutch children's television show in the Netherlands, and a spin-off of the U. children's program Sesame Street. In its early days the show was broadcast in Flanders Belgium as well. It is the second longest-running foreign adaptation of Sesame Street without interruptions, behind only Sesamstraße.
