Album

Dust is the seventh and final studio album by Screaming Trees, released on June 25, 1996. After an aborted attempt at recording a followup to Sweet Oblivion with producer Don Fleming, the band hired producer George Drakoulias to man the controls for what eventually turned out to be their last album. In contrast to the group's previous recordings that were more influenced by psychedelic rock and punk rock, Dust contains music that is equally influenced by folk and blues, while still retaining a harder. For what it's worth, it serves as a culmination of all their past work and influences, but in the end, 'Dust' is just a fantastic rock album. I can't emphasize enough that this isn't quite the same Screaming Trees that recorded in the 80's, which should be apparent enough as the rocking guitar line in opener 'Halo of Ashes' kicks the album off. From that, the listener can also tell that 'Dust' retains the similar hard rock edge of its predecessor, 'Sweet Oblivion'. Screaming Trees : Dust,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. The Trees' third and best major-label album wasn't an easy one to make: the band felt compelled to scrap the first recording with producer Don Fleming and re-record the songs with George Drakoulias of Black Crowes and Tom Petty fame. But the creative malaise and personal chaos that reportedly plagued the follow-up to 1992's gold-selling Sweet Oblivion are nowhere in evidence in the finished grooves. Dust is a complex, layered effort that transcends the grunge tag so often hung on the band by emphasizing deep roots in psychedelia and folk-rock
