Jinx is the twelfth album and the ninth studio album by the Irish musician Rory Gallagher. In 2000 it was remastered with different track order and bonus tracks. He enlisted some extra help for a few of the tracks including Saxophonist, Dick Parry who had already shown his abilities on Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon', and Brinsley Schwarz keyboard player, Bob Andrews. Rory returned to his roots on the track 'Ride On Red, Ride On' originally recorder by and the little known but exceptionally talented Blues guitaristharmonica player, Louisiana Red in 1963. The late Rory Gallagher has always embodied the spirit of the blues for me. When I first connected with his music in 1972, just after he left the power trio Taste to front his own band, I felt a resonance his brand of blues that I never felt with the authentic or traditional Mississippi Delta or Chicago blues.
